Wyatt Hastings Racing x WCI Off-Road Q&A

Wyatt Hastings Racing x WCI Off-Road Q&A

This weekend I had the opportunity to sit down with Segway racer Wyatt Hastings for a quick Q&A about his experience with us and his plan for the new Super Villain. Wyatt has spent the last year racing with his WCI cage on his Segway Villain. Now, he's getting ready for an upgrade.

Read the questions and his answers below!

Q: Safety's a huge part of racing - how has a WCI cage made a difference for you on the track?

A: My WCI cage has made a difference on the track by giving me the peace of mind of not being worried about a crash happening and myself getting seriously injured. I'm able to focus on just driving as fast and smoothly as possible.

Q: What makes WCI different than other cage manufacturers out there?

A: WCI is different because it's all 100% domestic DOM steel, all cages have multiple options to make it feel like it's your own cage, they have an aggressive look, and the customer service is top-notch.

Q: Have you had any moments where you were really glad you had a cage on your cage?

A: Anytime you're going extremely fast in an OEM cage, you always have a thought in the back of your head wondering if it's going to hold up. You can stay focused on racing or the task ahead with a WCI cage.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about racing the new Super Villain - any feature you're particularly hyped about?

A: I'm excited about the new suspension on the Segway Super Villain and can't wait to see how it does in the desert terrain.

Q: Anything new you're trying that you didn't do on your last Villain cage?

A: The end goal will be to desert race this Super Villain, Segway builds an extremely strong car, so pair that with WCI strength as well and we should be a force to be reckoned with. This time around we are integrating lights in the custom front bumper and light bar tabs."

Stay tuned to see the finished build for this brand-new Segway Super Villain!
